Hello, Troop 380 –

There is a LOT going on TOMORROW, especially related to summer camp. Please read carefully!

Next Troop Meeting – Tomorrow
MAC night – Make sure you’re prepared with pen/paper and have done your homework!

Medical Forms & Payments – PAST DUE
Medical forms and payments are now past due.  Please bring copies (not originals) of your A, B, and C medical forms to the troop meeting TOMORROW.  Any scout or adult who does not have updated medical paperwork cannot go to summer camp.  

 

Also, any scouts with outstanding payments cannot attend camp without approval from troop leadership.  If you are struggling with these costs, please reach out. Scholarships may be available.

Summer Camp Meeting – TOMORROW

Don’t forget…All Scouts attending Camp Meriwether and/or Camp Chawanakee are required to attend the Summer Camp Meeting tomorrow, Monday, June 15.

At least one parent must attend with each scout.  Please let Dave Ishikawa (Meriwether) or Nate Roth (Chawanakee) know if you cannot attend.  We will cover the following:

  • Review Travel Plans
  • Distribute Special Summer Camp T-shirts
  • What to pack for Summer Camp
  • Advancement Opportunities
  • Important Paperwork (Medicals, medication, permission slips, shooting sports)
 
Prospective ASPL Meeting – Tomorrow 
Please email me at dustintrute@gmail.com ASAP if you would like to run for ASPL. We will meet with the Scout and at least one parent/guardian tomorrow at 6PM to go over responsibilities and expectations for this very important role.
This scout will serve as 2nd ASPL from July through November, 1st ASPL from November through March, and SPL from March through July.  This means that, depending on when summer camp falls next summer, you may get the experience of a lifetime, and be SPL at summer camp!
 
Philmont Crew Meeting – Tomorrow

Tomorrow 6/15 at 6:30 PM before the Troop meeting.  Please be in attendance. We will discuss finances and our upcoming training schedule.

 

Three Rivers District Roundtable – Thursday
We would like to invite you to participate in our monthly leader’s meeting on Thursday, June 18th, 7:00 PM at the St. Anthony Parish on Florin Road. Thursday’s feature will be the Fall Camporee Planning. If you would like to be part of the staff for the Camporee, please join the other wonderful scouters and leaders of our district. Please see Dave, Chris, or Michael if you have any questions about Roundtable.
Committee Meeting – Date Change
The Monthly committee meeting will be a week early on June 23, due to Camp Meriwether the next week.  Please join us at 7:00 PM at Atonement Lutheran Church. Make sure to be there to learn how best to support your scout!


Long Lake Backpacking – Postponed

Postponed to August 7-9, so now there’s more time to sign up and enjoy a nice hike!

Columbia Employee Store Invitation – Last Week!
Don’t forget the invitations to the Columbia Employee Store in Richmond and Union City expire on June 21st. You won’t want to miss out on the 40% or more discount on sportswear, camping gear and footwear.  See us at the Troop Meeting for an invitation. This is a great opportunity to get gear for camping and summer camp!
Complete Angler Weekend

The Greater California Council is hosting an Anglers Weekend on October 2-4, 2026, at Gibson Ranch. Scouts attending will earn three fishing related merit badges. Scouts will earn the Fishing Merit Badge, Fly Fishing Merit Badge and the Fish and Wildlife Management Merit Badge, plus earn the Complete Angler Award. The cost for the weekend is $85.00.

If you have already participated in the Complete Angler Weekend you can become a staff member.  The cost for staff is only $20.00 which includes food, camping and a t-shirt. Please sign up at the Troop Meeting if you are interested.

Finally, NO TROOP MEETING ON JUNE 29.
