Weekly Scoutmaster Email – 8/23/26

Good morning, Troop 380!

First, a quick reminder that popcorn sales are in full swing! Make sure to check in with Lia and find out how your scout can pay their way during their Scouting journey! Some scouts have profited over $10,000 from popcorn alone, and that has helped them experience more of what Scouting has to offer! Many site sales are open and ready for you to sell!

Now, here are your details for upcoming events:

Summer Court of Honor – TOMORROW
Join us tomorrow for our much-anticipated Summer Court of Honor! Please plan on attending to support your scout and their success over these past 4 months. Thank you to Katrina for running a popcorn bar for us to enjoy after the CoH!

  • Atonement Lutheran Church
Patrol Leaders’ Council
  • Monday, August 31 at 6:30

Troop 380 Open House –  Monday, September 16
We will be inviting youth in the area to come and see what our Troop has to offer. Each patrol will be responsible for running an event.  Remember, recruitment is necessary for the stability and survival of our Troop, so please make sure your Scout is in attendance with a smile!

San Francisco & USS Pampanito –
 September 26-27

This much anticipated trip is right around the corner! There are still a few slots left so make sure to sign up ASAP.  Thank you to Nathan Davis and Neil Ishikawa for planning this special trip!

Angler’s Weekend –  October 2-4

Thank you to Daniel for taking point on the Troop leadership for this excellent opportunity. Daniel needs some backup that weekend with a second adult, so please reach out if you are able to help out! We want to make sure that all of our scouts have the opportunity to enjoy these events and that means we need to have adult leaders helping to guide and support them.

Rosemont Community Celebration and Advancement Day –
October 3
While some of our Scouts are out fishing, the Troop will also be out in the community!  We will be holding an advancement day to help our newer Scouts complete some of their advancement. We will be running this event at Rosemont Community Park during the celebration, making us visible in the community and showing that we are ready to help their children learn valuable life lessons! More details to follow.
