Hello Troop 380 Scouts, leaders, and families –

Thank you to everyone who has helped out with Tressa’s Eagle Project.  The birds appreciate you building them new homes and Tressa appreciates your support with her project!

Don’t forget that medical forms are due at or before the first meeting in June.  If you or your scout’s medical forms are not turned in, you will not be able to participate in summer camps.  Schedule those physicals today! Please talk to me, Dave, or Nate Roth if you have any questions about forms for summer camp.  The forms are attached for your convenience.

  • Uniform: Class A
  • Program:  MAC night!  (merit badge and advancement). Please make sure that you bring pen/paper and are prepared to learn from your counselor!

PLC is tomorrow at 6:15 for all adult and youth leadership. See you there!

District Roundtable Cook-off – Thursday

This Thursday, put your cooking skills and competitive nature to the test!  Meet at Emmanuel Baptist Church with your patrol.  Finish cooking your meals by 7:30 to see how you have done in direct competition with other scouts and scouters in the Three Rivers District!  Fantastic prizes and recognition await!

  • May 21, 7:00 PM, but Patrols may show up early to prepare if needed.

  • Don’t forget to provide me with a list of necessary cooking utensils to bring!
Fair Oaks Cemetery Memorial Day Service Project – Saturday 

Troop 380 has a long tradition of serving our community at this event. Troop 380 even has its own bench at the cemetery in appreciation of our service there!

  • Word is that “Good Day Weekend” will be there filming the event!
  • Event Day: Saturday, May 23, 8:30AM-11:15AM
  • Location: Fair Oaks Cemetery, 7780 Olive Street, Fair Oaks
  • Scouts earn community service hours or money for their account
  • Written reminders will be handed out at the May 18th troop meeting.

California Pizza Kitchen Fundraiser
  • Support the troop and enjoy dinner out!
  • Date: Wednesday, May 27th
  • Impact: 20% of all food and beverage sales will be donated directly to our Troop.
  • How: Valid for dine-in, take-out, online ordering, or curbside service.
Long Lake Backpacking and Philmont Conditioning Trip

This will be an excellent starter trip for many and a fun weekend for all participants. Long Lake is situated among several lakes on a ridge between the Yuba and American River canyons. We will have two groups: Group A for first-time backpackers and Group B for those with more experience. All Philmont-bound Scouts and adults will be in Group B for our first conditioning campout.

  • Dates: June 12-14, 2026
  • Departure: 5:30 PM from Nyecon
  • Cost: $20.00 (Please also bring cash for a fast-food stop on the way home)
  • Sign-Up: You must sign up and pay fees by the June 1st meeting.
  • Gear & Food Distribution: June 8th at the church at 7:00 PM. Please bring your backpack to ensure you can carry your assigned items.
