Scoutmaster weekly email – 5/10/26

Good morning Troop 380 family!

First, I would like to take a moment to recognize the moms in this group. Far too often we take for granted what our mothers do for us. The times they take care of us when we are sick, the times when they take time off work to be chaperones on our field trips, the dinners they make, and the laundry they fold. Today is a day for us to recognize the incredibly important and central impact our moms have on all of our lives.  Take a moment to hug your mom if they’re close, or call them if they’re not nearby. Trust me, your appreciation for them will be the high point of their day!

The process of realigning our patrols is coming along nicely. Thank you to the families who have reached out with suggestions or concerns regarding this process – your input has been invaluable! The new patrol lists will be released soon and will take effect at the first troop meeting in June.

This is your second reminder that medical forms for summer camp are due by the end of the month.  Remember, if your scout does not have their medical forms up to date, including Part C signed by a physician, they will not be allowed to attend summer camp. In addition, as soon as your scout’s A and B medical forms expire, they may not attend any troop events until those are updated. These requirements apply to adult leaders as well.  They allow the troop to assist with any medical issues that may arise during events and must be taken seriously. The forms are attached for your convenience.
