Good morning, Troop 380!  

 
Thank you to everyone who not only attended Nicky’s Eagle Court of Honor last night, but also to those who have supported him throughout his Scouting journey. The Belt family is extremely appreciative of all of your time and help that you have given to Nicky over the years!
 

Reminder – No regular Troop meeting tomorrow because it’s take two for Golf Night (details below).

ILST – TODAY

Don’t forget, all youth leadership is expected to attend the ILST (Introduction to Leadership Skills Training) being hosted today by Drew Walters and Nate Roth. The skills learned during this class will help your scout learn skills that they will use throughout their life.  
  • All Patrol Leaders and Troop-level leadership (ASPLs, Scribe, Chaplain’s Aide, Quartermaster, etc.) should attend. In addition, if your scout simply wants to improve their own leadership skills and is not necessarily in a leadership position yet, they are welcome to join in on the fun!   
  • Please be at the church from 1-6PM
  • Class A Uniform
  • Food will be provided
GOLF NIGHT – TOMORROW 
Thank you to Gary for working so quickly to reschedule one of my favorite events of the year: our Troop Golf Night! 
  • Bradshaw Ranch Golf Course (7350 Bradshaw Rd, Sacramento, CA 95829)
  • The festivities begin at 5 PM 
  • Competitions include putting, “closest to the pin,” and longest drive.  
  • Cost is $15 per golfer, and includes hot dogs cooked by our very own Mac Weir!  
Triple Eagle Court of Honor –  This Saturday 8/22
Please join the troop in congratulating three of our most recent Eagle Scouts: Nathan Ko, Eric Mo, and Lucas Wang for a joint Eagle Court of Honor before they head out to college!

Summer Court of Honor – Next Monday 8/24
It’s the biggest Troop Court of Honor of the year! Join us and support your Scouts and recognize their hard work over the last four months. Ranks, merit badges, and summer camp awards will be presented at this very busy Court of Honor. Many thanks to Katrina for preparing a popcorn bar for us to enjoy!

Troop Committee Meeting – Tuesday, August 25 
Committee Chair, Alison Milobar, would like to invite you to attend our monthly Troop Committee Meeting. This is the best opportunity to engage with other adults and learn how to best support your Scout and help them succeed in the program. 7PM at Atonement Lutheran Church.

Regular Troop Meetings Resuming 

As a reminder, school is back in session, so our uniform will return to Class A for Troop meetings.  Please make sure your scout is dressed properly for meetings moving forward. Our next regular meeting is Monday, August 31, and PLC at 6:30.

Troop 380 Open House – Save the Date

Our annual open house will be Monday, September 14. This is an all hands on deck event! Scouts will lead stations and encourage visiting Cub Scouts and other youths from our community to choose Troop 380. Many thanks to Nate Roth and Landin Speer for planning this important annual event. Make sure to invite your Scout-aged friends and family (11-17) to come check it out and see all that our Troop has to offer!

Troop Activity Calendar & Volunteers Needed
Some people approached me and told me that they were unable to open next year’s calendar attachment from my last email, so I’m attaching it as a PDF here now. Please reach out to me to volunteer to either lead an event or learn how to lead one!
