The Webelos Open House was held at the church on January 11. The troop was asked to be there at 6:00 to 6:30 pm. There were displays set up in the chapel and the Cub Scouts were greeted by greeters and shown some new knots. The meeting started at 7:00, and we carried on with flags and upcoming events like a regular meeting. We then showed a slide show of our previous campouts to the Webelos and their parents, and afterwards, the parents were sent into the chapel to discuss details while the Webelos stayed with us to do the program. We had 6 different stations for the Webelos to check out. There were 4 groups of Cub Scouts, each led by a leader. We did rotations every 10 minutes or so. The six areas were first aid, uniform, Dutch-oven cooking, car lot, gear and knots. After we finished with program, we had all of the Scouts go and get a quick bite to eat then we circled up. By now, the parents were coming back from the chapel. We did a closing circle like we would in a regular meeting, thanked the Webelos for coming, sang Scout Vespers, and cleaned up and went home around 8:45 p.m.
