Angel Island Campout

Join Troop 380 for an unforgettable adventure that blends history and fun! We’ll start with a scenic ferry ride from Tiburon to Angel Island, and then set up camp with breathtaking views of the San Francisco city skyline and the Bay in the background. Scouts will work with California State Park rangers on a conservation project and learn about the island’s rich history, including sites like the Immigration Station and Fort McDowell. Scouts have the option to bring bikes to ride around the island or hike to the summit of Mount Livermore. Details:

  • When: March 7–8
  • Meet: 7:00 AM Saturday at Nyecon
  • Return: Around 1:30 PM on Sunday at Nyecon
  • Cost: $30 per camper
  • Limit: 24 campers, so bring the attached permission slip to the next troop meeting and sign up!
  • The campsite is about 1.5 miles from the ferry terminal, so camping and meals will be backpacking style, and participants must carry or ride in all personal and troop gear.
  • Questions: Contact Jameson R. (scout in charge) or Jon Traum (jtraum@gmail.com)
