February 26, eleven scouts and six adults braved the cold and snow to experience gold fever of the Klondike Derby. We ‘panned for gold ‘ , ‘mushed’ a sledge, competed in compass, first aid, and fire building. We took third in camp inspection, third place in the sledge race, and second place in the snowshoe activity.
We woke on Sunday to 22 degree temps. Brrrrr. All in all we had a great time. Thank you to Steven Pennington for leading the scout event.
