The Bike and Ice campout was on January 16th. Because of a slight chance of rain the trip was changed to a day campout. There were about 15-16 people who went on this trip. We met at the school around 8:30 a.m. We checked to make sure all of our gear was ready and headed out for Natomas Lake around 9 a.m. It was about a 16 mile bike ride there, and took us about 3 hours to complete the 16 miles. When we got there, we broke out lunch. Maryann was there with hot chocolate and cup of noodles. After a pleasant rest, we started the long trip back. We got back at around 4:00 p.m.
Mathew Brown and Ted Dang, a Webelos Scout father, both earned the Order of the Ice Cube.
