Greetings Troop 380 Scouts, Leaders, and Families,

First, thanks to everyone who marched with us in the Veterans Day parade – we made it on the news!

We’d also like to offer another big congratulations to Julian Buell for reaching Eagle Scout, and a big thank you from him and his family to all of those who attended his court of honor last weekend.

Next, our annual Christmas Tree Recycling Project is coming up! This is an all-hands-on-deck event, so please SAVE THE DATE for December 13 at 8:30 AM, and plan on attending. There are more details below. 
 
Here are details regarding our next troop meeting and other upcoming events as we enter a very busy time for the troop!
 
Next Troop Meeting – Tomorrow
  • Monday, November 17th, 2025, 7:00 PM
  • Uniform: Full Class A uniform
Patrols will be hosting their monthly patrol meetings at the church during our usual meeting time. Patrols will be meeting individually, hosted by Patrol Leaders/Patrol ASMS. Please attend so you have a say in your upcoming patrol events and get involved.

Patrol Leaders Council – Tomorrow
We will have a PLC meeting tomorrow at 6:30, before the regular troop meeting, to talk about upcoming activities and plan for the next few months. It is important that all Patrol leaders and ASMs attend this meeting.
Troop Parent Meeting – Tuesday

Committee chair Alison Milobar would like all parents to come out and support your scout and the troop by participating in our monthly parent meeting. Please show your support by attending our monthly meetings. Not only will you learn about the troop, but you will be helping to create a wonderful program for your scout!

Dave & Buster’s Fundraiser

  • Tuesday, November 25, 2025, 5:00 – 9:00 PM
  • Dave & Busters at the Palladio in Folsom 
  • Sign up at the meeting with Dave and Chris, so we can save you a table with the troop.
Tomorrow is your LAST CHANCE to purchase Power Cards in advance. The troop gets 50% of all cards sold in advance (vs. 20% of cards sold on the night of the fundraiser), so please reserve your cards TOMORROW.
 

Also, the more the merrier! Bring your family, friends, relatives, and neighbors to the fundraiser. You can print or forward the attached flyer!

Mission Peak Day Hike

Join us for a hike! This 6 mile round trip is considered the easiest of the Rim of the Bay Hikes, so all skill levels will enjoy this hike.

  • Meet at NyeCon
  • See attached permission slip for more details, and sign up at the next troop meeting
  • We need women leaders, and drivers. Please see Bruce if you can assist.

Old Town Folsom Holiday Street Fair and Ice Skating

  • Sunday, December 7, 2025.
  • Ice Skating cost is $20.00 for adults and scouts (Children 9 and under for $16.00)
  • Sign up at the Troop Meeting
We are riding the Light Rail to Old Town Folsom to attend the Folsom Holiday Arts and Craft Fair and go Ice Skating!  Participants can go ice skating (not required), visit the street fair, eat lunch, and just celebrate the holiday season. This is a Troop 380 holiday tradition!

Winter Court of Honor
 
We warmly invite everyone to join us for our much anticipated Winter Court of Honor!
  • Monday December 8th 2025 at 6:00 PM.
  • Cordova Church of Christ
  • Full Class A uniforms, including Merit badge sashes
  • Cost $5 per person
  • Please Sign up at the Troop Meeting
During the Court of Honor, we will proudly present various awards including badges of rank, merit badges, activity patches, leadership recognition, attendance awards, and much more.  In addition to the awards presentation we will also take this opportunity to announce events for 2026 to ensure that everyone is informed and ready to participate in the exciting activities we have coming up!
 

Each patrol will be putting together a basket for the silent raffle, along with a bunch of other prizes.  Potluck Style Meal featuring tri-tip for the main course. Families are highly encouraged to attend!

 

Christmas Tree Recycling Project
Our troop’s Christmas Tree Recycling Project is both an important community service and a fundraiser for the troop. It is a two part event. The first part is Flyer Day, and it is coming up on December 13. We will circulate through the neighborhoods of Rosemont and Mather to distribute flyers. Scouts have the option to earn service hours in lieu of scout credit.

  • Who: Scouts, Family, and Friends – anyone of scouting age who would like to help your Scout earn funds for upcoming adventures is welcome to join us!

2026 Scout Expo
