On April 8th, Scouts, Scouters and families gathered for the Spring Court of Honor. Troop 380 had an amazing evening at our Spring Court of Honor. Five of our leaders were honored with their Wood Badge Beads; Mike Bogue, Rochelle Huber, Wei Hsieh, Gary Smilkstein, and Ann Truong. Congratulations and thank you for your commitment to the Scouting program.
James Rhodes-Dreyer and Justin Hernandez visited our COH to make a presentation for Friends of Scouting. Always amazed by the level of support our troop contributes to the Golden Empire Council. Last night our families contributed over $8,200.00 to the Friends of Scouting campaign. Thank you to everyone who made a pledge to support Scouting. If you did not have the opportunity to make a pledge, please see Dave at the upcoming troop meetings, or troop parent meeting.
We presented a record number of awards and recognition to our scouts last night. This was the largest number of merit badges presented at a Spring Court of Honor. We announced a lot of upcoming events and presented patches for the Klondike Derby and Spring Camporee. Chris recognized our top bowlers Michael Kuykendall (adult), Tim B (scout) and Elle I (sibling). Drew A was honored as the “Honor Scout” and Phil Allen received the “Scoutmaster’s Recognition”.
