Greetings Troop 380 Scouts, Leaders, and Families,

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms, stepmoms, foster moms, and other people who step up and fill the role of mother. We couldn’t do what we do without you, and we thank you for the endless love and support you provide our scouts.

Charlie Cuttle’s Eagle Court of Honor – TOMORROW
 
We warmly invite you to join us in celebrating the remarkable achievement of Charlie Cuttle as he receives the prestigious Eagle Scout award. This is Scouting’s highest honor, and we can’t wait to recognize his dedication and hard work.

  • This ceremony will be in place of the regular troop meeting

Camp Royaneh and Russian River Canoeing Transportation Survey

Fair Oaks Cemetery Memorial Day Service Project

  • Saturday, May 24, 8:30-11:30
  • Troop 380 has a long tradition of serving our community at this event. The troop even has its own bench in the cemetery to honor that!
  • Fair Oaks Cemetery, 7780 Olive Street, Fair Oaks
  • We begin with several practices for the flag ceremony, which Troop 380 performs during this celebration. Then we direct parking within the cemetery and handout programs for the Memorial Day service which starts at 10AM and troop families are welcome to attend the event. The service includes brief speeches from our local politicians, and in honor of this year’s theme: “The 250th Anniversary of America’s First Three Military Branches: Army, Navy and Marines.” After the event we will take down the chairs and awnings and enjoy refreshments of homemade cookies, ice cream and lemonade.
  • Scouts can earn community service hours or money for their account. Please sign up at the troop meeting. If you have any questions, please ask Ethan Bui at the meeting, or Elizabeth Ruygt (goldrivmom@comcast.net).

Summer Backpacking Trip

  • June 6-8
  • Sign-ups start 5/5 and will close 6/2.
  • Food costs will be $30 if you sign up on or before 5/26, $35 if you sign up after that, and any cancellations after 6/2 will forfeit the full food cost.
  • Please try to attend the scout meetings on 5/5, 5/19, and 6/2 for training and instructions, with a mandatory pack check for all attendees on 6/2.
  • Group A will be for scouts that have been backpacking before; Group B will be for those who have not.
  • We need adult leaders! Please see Nate Roth if you are able to assist, or for further information or questions.

National Jamboree 2026 Sign Ups

The 2026 National Jamboree is being held at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia July 22-31. If you are interested in getting information on the most exciting and largest event in scouting, please tune in to one of the two remaining Zoom Meetings, where we will discuss cost, travel, Jamboree activities, troop organization, and much more. Join us – the troop for Jamboree is filling fast!
