On September 3-6 the troop went family camping at Monterey Veterans Park. We camped for three nights and four days. We arrived at the campground on Friday night and got set up. On Saturday morning we started the oceanography merit badge, then we went to the beach in the afternoon to collect plankton samples and on Sunday we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and explored all the different kinds of sea life. We then returned to the campsite where we continued to work on the oceanography merit badge. That night we had a great skit night. Then on Monday we drove to the Pinnacles National Monument where we did the Rim of the Bay hike which was really fun.
