Scouting promises you the great outdoors. As a Scout, you can learn how to camp and hike without leaving a trace and how to take care of the land. You’ll study wildlife up close and learn about nature all around you. There are plenty of skills for you to master, and you can teach others what you have learned.
About Troop 380
Troop 380 is part of the Three Rivers district in the Golden Empire Council (GEC). The troop has been active continuously since 1971 and has produced over 100 Eagle Scouts, which is attests to the quality of the organization and its adult volunteers. Troop 380 has a Boys Unit and a Girls Unit.
Troop 380 has a remarkable reputation for frequent outdoor activites:
- At least one Summer camp trip per Summer
- Much higher than average National Jamboree attendance for a West Coast troop
- Frequent trips to the BSA’s High Adventure bases
- Enough fundraising opportunities throughout the year to cover the cost of all events
Troop meetings are Monday evening at the Emmanuel Baptist Church at 9350 Kiefer Blvd. Sacramento, CA 95826. If you are interested in joining Troop 380, please email Floyd Brown, Troop 380’s membership Assistant Scoutmaster (ASM).
