On January 18, nineteen scouts and five adults headed to Grover Hot Springs state park for the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. Scouts taking the cooking merit badge served as cooks for the weekend and all of us kept warm in the hot springs. On Sunday, we hiked to a frozen waterfall with Troop 363 who came along on this trip. Special thanks to Peter Brown who brought and set up a telescope. One night we viewed Jupiter and four of its moons, the next night we viewed the Andromeda Galaxy and the Pleiades. Thanks to all of the adults, Peter Brown, Paul Keefer, Phil Allen and Ben Heningburg for helping make this event happen.
