On the 3rd through 5th of September we went to Yosemite for a campout and service project. We left at 5 o’clock on Friday night. We had a great camp with a great view. As a project we shoveled woodchips to make a new playground for the camp. We toured and hiked. We saw the great views. We got home sometime around 4 o’clock on Sunday afternoon. I had a great time. I think everyone else did too.

For the backpacking trip, five Scouts and three adults hiked the 14 mile Pohono trail along the upper south rim of the valley. Not only did they get to see the magnificent views from Glacier Point with the entire group on Sunday, but through Sunday and Monday they stopped along Taft Point, Dewey Point, Crocker Point, Stanford Point, and Inspiration Point. After 14 miles and two days of excellent weather, this was their parting vista of the day at the Wawona Tunnel.
