Mt. Wittenberg and Samuel P. Taylor

Nov 9th -11th, On the Samuel P. Taylor campout, we stayed at the Madrone group campsite and had 3 Webelos and their parents join us. After we set-up camp we all went to the Point Reyes lighthouse, we had to hike along a road that turned into steps to get there, it was more than 300 steps. When we got back to the cars we drove to Drakes Beach and had a wet and sandy, but still, a great time. We then went back to camp and made burritos for dinner. After dinner during cleanup someone (we’re not naming names) unhooked a propane hose and set fire to the lantern. Luckily no one got hurt but after it was done Mike gave us a safety instruction so we know what not to do going forward.

The next day we went to Mt. Wittenberg after eating a breakfast of eggs, sausage, and oatmeal. The hike lasted until dinner so we had a trail lunch on the top of Mt Wittenberg. Our dinner was a stew with meat and a whole bunch of vegetables. But after cleanup some raccoons invaded camp and went in some scouts tents. Also on that night we had our camp fire program and it was really fun. The last morning we cleaned up then made a circle to do thorns and roses then we left. It was a memorable campout ending with lunch at In & Out Burger.
