Fair Oaks Cemetary Service Project

On Saturday May 24th Troop 380 participated in the annual Fair Oaks Memorial Day Ceremony to “Honor Families of our Fallen Heroes”. 21 Scouts and adults arrived in the morning to help direct traffic, and hand out programs. Our troop shined once more this year as we were asked to perform the flag ceremony during the program, retiring the old flag and raising of the new flag. Some Cub Scouts from Pack 281 who were there with their families to see the ceremony joined us for the flag ceremony . After the ceremony we stacked the chairs and took down the awnings. In the afternoon, we helped to take down the Avenue of Flags. Bright and early Monday morning, our Scouts arrived to put up the Avenue of Flags for the public to enjoy. That same afternoon, 5 scouts took down the flags and loaded them onto a truck. All Scouts who participated earned service hours or Scout credit. We look forward to next year!
