Visit OpenOffice.org's website to download a free Office suite that can open and save Microsoft Word .doc files, as well as save documents in Adobe's .pdf format.
Or, if you are so inclined, check out Microsoft's Office pricing guide. The latest version of Microsoft Office costs up to $679.95 (after tax that's like 7 years of troop dues!). Remember, a scout is thrifty!
