On Friday July 11th we traveled to the Capps Campground located on the North Fork of the Cosumnes River in the Eldorado National Forest. There were 11 Scouts and 6 adults in attendance. As the Scout in Charge, Austin M. with help from Matthew M.and Gareth S. did a fine job of leading camp setup, hiking, and cooking activities. After completing a 7-mile hike on Saturday, the scouts cooled their feet in the river, fished for trout, and shared fun stories. After dinner we enjoyed skits and songs performed by the scouts and “Capped” the evening off with a peach cobbler. The new scouts were “Prepared” for Summer Camp!
